Yeah but Pacquiao faced lots of Mexicans and Ricans have a beef with the Mexicans because of history and the Cotto-Margarito controversy.

During our 4th of July block party, I ran into my old fight fan buddy named Pedro who closely follows and roots for Mexican boxers. The topic of PAC came up and he didn’t hold back in telling me how he’s grown to hate Manny due to his success against Mexicans. He expressed animosity but he also made sure to tell me how much he respected PAC…when the subject of Cotto-PAC came up, all he told me was ‘this will be the 1st time I’m rooting for your boy’….he said ‘I just can’t root for a Rican’
