So let me get this straight and basing it on some things I have read including this report:
Gatti came home drunk, past out...then in his sleep, slept walked and picked up a knife, stabbed himself in the back of the head, then walked over and grabbed his wife's purse strap, and then proceeded to hang himself until he died from "suicide."
I'm confused.

An autopsy determines what was the cause of death, there's no may be, unless a body is too decomposed. Which in this case, it wasn't.
All the reports said he was found laying on the bed, now they're trying to claim he was suspended and hanging and may have committed suicide.
In a country like Brazil, you can buy your way out of almost any problem with that type of money and assets Gatti attained. She might be getting a piece of it, if she is found innocent. If she hasn't already, she will try to bribe her way out of this and the depressing part about it as that she could get away with it.
