Tubby Diaz should just man up and fight feather-fisted Paulie at 140. I can see why the latter might have difficulties getting down to 135 (he's slender but has a sturdy build), but what the hell is stopping Diaz from eating a few more TexMex burritos and fighting Paulie at 140? For fuck's sake, most of his first 10 fights were fought at around LWW and even WW. He doesn't even look like a LW at all.
Why is Diaz-Malignaggi being fought at a catchweight?

Just because he fought some bums early in his career at 140ish doesn't mean he can do the same with Malignaggi.
There is the possibility Malignaggi will be weight drained so that's another plus for Diaz.
Plus he probably wants to stay at 135.Comment

well I figure Diaz is just tryoing ot test himself and see how he responds to a gradual weight increaseTubby Diaz should just man up and fight feather-fisted Paulie at 140. Diaz ain't featherfisted. He is an acumulation puncher. On the other hand Paulie is truly featherfisted.
Diaz stopped Julio Diaz,Freitas,Suico, etc.Malignaggi can only dream of having TKO wins over guys like that.Comment
