What i'm trying to point out and many fans seem to ignore is that cotto has been in fights/wars with true welterweights and whether you think he won or lost, they are still true welterweights. He has taken his lumps and perhaps got tired toward the end of these fights but has gone the distance(besides margarito). Featherweight to lightweight to welterweight is sooo different. Even putting a jr welter against a true welterweight is sometimes unfair. I agree pacman is an ALG and more respect to him but why ruin his legacy by trying to fight true welterweights?? money? Hatton is a lightweight and nothing more.

Cotto is a warrior and a very exciting fighter. As much as I dislike all the Pacquiao nuthugging I have to say this argument isn't very good. Cotto looked less than stellar in his victory of Mosely, got a gift decision against Clottey, and got blistered by Margarito.

I see your point and it is a fair one. Also Pac will get hit in this fight. Will be interesting to see how that goes as well.

Of course not, they fought in weight classes 20 pounds below those two, that's why the question doesn't make any sense. It's irrelevant.

98% of Pac's opponents were not the size of Clottey or Mosley.
You seem to forget that Pac was a former flyweight champion who moved all the way up to where Clottey and Mosley are fighting right now....That's how great Pac is.
