The reason Clottey has fought better contenders is because he is with Top rank. Paul Williams cannot get a fight with Cotto, because he is not with top rank.

id like to see the big foreheaded one get KO'd and get his title taken away from him. imo he is hogging a title and yet he can't hang with the big boys in the division.

clottey would be too much for him and would take his punches easily on the gloves i dont think berto has the feet or lateral movement to slip his punches in.

maybe you're right clottey should get himself into the ring with someone before a title shot (a collazo, cintron or quintana would be good match up).

maybe berto does have better skills than clottey

but in no way is berto a better fighter than clottey, if they do clash i'd be willing to put all my points on the grandmaster

Paul Williams would it had his shot if he hadn't lost against Quintana in their first fight. He wasn't that great back then and now he won't drain himself to come down.

What about after he avenged his loss to Carlos Q, he called out Cotto. And the fight could have happen. Williams was willingly to fight Cotto recently but Cotto choose Clottey instead. The only WW Arum lets Williams fight is Clottey, since he is not a cash cow and not worth anyone.

Margarito is and was not the best at the time he lost to him.
