Amir Khan wins a world title last night. He is a WORLD CHAMPION but according to the boxing community he is a "bum", a "fraud" and "sucks". Why would anybody take this sport seriously when its own fans make great boxers out to be complete bums? You may think Khan is a weak champion...you may think he wont be champion for long...but the fact of the matter is he has beaten a few good fighters now and a great, genuine world champion in Kotelnik to win the belt. It just puzzles me why the boxing community now has Floyd Mayweather's "If you aint undefeated you aint ****" mentality. Stop degrading the sport.

you mentioned it. its that floyd mayweather mentality. before floyd no fan was concerned about how much a fighter makes or what split he gets in the revenue.

in an organized boxing world with 2 legit belts at most and a few less weight classes, khan wouldn't even be allowed to be look at a belt, no matter if he was a ticket seller or not

I personally have not shieted on Khan for winning, I picked him to win based on his opponent and I will pick him to lose against Maidana. Why can't a person say they know Khan will lose soon enough? He is not that great. Yes he won but his streak will be short. As soon as he fights a heavy handed bum for that matter, it will be lights out. He just ain't got the chin. As long as he sticks to fighting soft hitters, he will be fine.
