khan should man up...

I've read a number of people today saying Khan isn't ready for Maidana...and then I've read a number of people arguing on behalf of Khan that he is so a world class champion and should be respected.
I don't buy into this "not ready" business. If you pick up a belt you're ready. Taking the "easy route" and avoiding certain types of fighters after trying to convince people that you're the real deal and a world class champion doesn't sit very well.Comment

No we don't; can we at least wait and find out before spouting bull****?
It certainly wouldn't surprise me if he took Hatton first if that could be arranged; there's easily five times the money in it for him.
That doesn't change the usual risk/reward equation that most boxers and their promoters tend to go along with. Only the selected few, like Khan, get hammered for it. Maidana is an unknown in the UK, and Khan's best money fights - at least for a while - will be in the UK. That's why Kotelnik came here. And it's not as if Maidana's name will fill MSG , is it?Last edited by The_Visitation; 07-19-2009, 03:59 AM.Comment
