Yes He Khan, Amir Captures a World Title

By Oli Smith - The show at the M.E.N Arena in Manchester was a night of emerging talents. While Khan is sure to get all the headlines; the undercard provided a snapshot of the future of British boxing. Frank Warren’s stable of Olympians all made their third appearances in the paid ranks, each one vying for column inches over the other. Having originally been scheduled for June at the O2 Arena in London, the event action was transplanted to the M.E.N. arena, thanks to a tooth infection suffered by Kotelnik. [details]

small is the best kept secret in british boxing, outstanding defence, nice shoulder rolls, good foot work.......small=british version of PBF(ok let's not get carried away)....but he has outstanding boxing skills............no doubt................no one expected him to KO a tough hall..............he frustrated him....got him tired and as Roger mayweather would say.....put some salt and pepper on that then put him in the grill and turn up the heat what a fantastic performance!

CONG**** on AMIR KHAN...he often gets mock for his glass chin, but in my opinion he is a better boxer than Ricky Hatton...no disrespect to HATTON he is a tough fighter, but his boxing skills to me is overrated. I'm not totally sold on AMIR KHAN just yet...i still need to see if he can take a punch from harder puncher's like MAIDANA, ORTIZ, even VALERO if he moves up. He should fight Prescott again to avenge his only defeat.

Why would you say he has a glass chin?

                  Amir Khan V2

To be honest I've not been Khan's biggest fan over the years, and whilst I'm still skeptical about whether he can take a solid shot from a big hitter (if he can keep slipping solid shots like he did last night maybe it wont matter so much), last night was an amazing performance. The way he slipped some of the blows was almost elite, he appears to have everything but the kitchen sink (that chin) so fair play to him. He moved in and out shooting from angles alll the while moving the head and keeping the gloves up for 95% of the fight. Well done Khan. Now let's see you against some world-class operators... Or maybe Hatton

Landing on gloves for 90% of the time, and pitter patter punches don't impress most hardcore fans. Regardless he won a title, just not impressive
