Kosta Tszyu vs. Ricardo Mayorga

I will be interested to see if the Trinidad fight has affected Mayorga in any way. I can't imagine him changing his style in any way, but I will be interested to see if he has the same heart to take so much punishment.

Didn't Sharmba Mitchell have Tzsyu hurt once in the fight? I didn't see it, but I read it..

but stunned for like a sec or two
but KT quickly regained his composre
it happened couple times
so if KT gets nailed by a power puncher he might go down
or atleast get in serious danger
but i just dont think mayo has the skill to land a clean blow on KT altho if he did he could cause some damage

Phillips showed that if you hit Zoo hard enough, he'd get hurt. Mayorga can hit hard. Very hard specially at 147. So yah, I'll go with the pink haired wild man.

I remeber a reporter saying one time that he was suprised by the Forrest fight because Mayorga was involved with two of the worst and most boring fights he's ever seen

Kostya got out-strengthed & outpunched by Vince Phillips.....a year after Phillips was physically overwhelmed by the 147lber, Ike Quartey.

Now...Kostya has NEVER shown he's strong enough to handle a 140lber.
Got any proof otherwise ?

Im sure you realize that Zoo is a better fighter now. As far as Phillips and Quartey goes, Ike was a animal so thats not a bad thing. Im sure you agree that Ike would kill Mayorga. And what do you mean Koysta hasnt shown that he's strong enough to handle the 140 pounders? The guy has dominated the division and just manhandled the #2 guy. KT was hurt in the 1st fight with Mitchell. KT doesn't have the power to hurt Mayo. He should be able to outbox Mayo, but if Mayo lands he could really hurt him. KT isn't a mover like Spinks so he won't be able get in & out in order to out box him. If KT can't out-muscle you, he doesn't have the advantage to win the fight. He comes in weighing like a Jr. Middleweight so of course he's going to overpower 140 pounders.But he's fighting a naturally bigger, stronger man who could hurt him more than Vince Philips. KT chin wouldn't hold up against a ****er like Mayorga. If Mayorga could take a beat down from a puncher like Tito, KT's power shouldn't be too much for him to handle.
