Not impressed by Khan by far...

Only highlight from todays fight was that he out worked a fighter known to fight at a slow pace.

Not to many fighters you can beat on just a good work rate. Still needs alot work on his defense.( got hit by some slow looping hooks)

He threw alot of punches but his hit rate was also low, I think one of the announcers said he threw 927 and landed 132. Nothing special.

I cant see him beating any elite or upper tier fighters at Jr WW.

He has stolen PAQs fighting style suscessfully though, dont know if that will get him anywhere though with the soft punches he throws.

    Just my take.

Kotelnik wouldn't unleash his hands. Personally, if I know my opponent has a glass chin. I would just ****. Kotelnik for some reason didn't catch on to any of the small mistakes Khan does.

Oh well. It wasn't an impressive decision nor an impressive fight. Khan still won the fight clearly though. He is the new champ.

        good job , amir.

get him a few big name but non-threatening defenses to get him more seasoned.

maybe a juan diaz or joan guzman. guys that have good skills and nice names but don't have a lot of pop since amir is still working on his defense.

Light welterweight. Pretty big difference. Getting a belt at 147 would be really hard for him.

Good win though. He boxed well. The commentators were a hoot. As many times as I watch the Sky feeds I'll never get used to them openly rooting for one of the fighters. It gets me every time. I love how they convince themselves of things too. They kept saying all the questions possibly out there about Khan had been answers. Nope. What happens when he gets hit by anyone with even average power?

Lets see the Khan haters crawl back under the rock that they came from. They can't say **** about Khan tonight.

              He boxed beautifully.

Whether he deserved a title shot is irrelevant. All that matters is he was able to beat a world champion, a solid world champion who knocked out Rees beat Maidana, and fought very close with Witter.
I see big things for Khan if he's promoted right, starting with defending against mandatories, then a superfight with Ricky.

Kahn vs the winner of Bradley/Campbell or Witter/Alexander

He could also grab a belt from Urango. Big up on his performance today
