Britain is just a tiny island in western Europe, no where near as big in land mass as the state of Texas. However, it is true that we have more World Champions than most countries, which is quite impressive when you consider that boxing is sadly no longer big in the UK.
Most of my fellow Brits who I am acquainted with prefer cricket over every sport in the world, albeit most of them are of Pakistani origin.Comment

When I was last in the UK I noticed that Pakistani people seemed to make up about 10% of the UK population so I'm not surprised that cricket is rather big over there BUT it is not true that you have had (and currently have) more champions of the world than most nations.Comment

If you only have 1 title holder then that is more than most nations. When I was last in the UK I noticed that Pakistani people seemed to make up about 10% of the UK population so I'm not surprised that cricket is rather big over there BUT it is not true that you have had (and currently have) more champions of the world than most nations.Comment

Pakistanis don't make anywhere near 10% if the population and the reason why it's big over hear is because England is the birthplace of cricket. When I was last in the UK I noticed that Pakistani people seemed to make up about 10% of the UK population so I'm not surprised that cricket is rather big over there BUT it is not true that you have had (and currently have) more champions of the world than most nations.Comment

Last time I was in England I was in a place called Bradford, and it seemed like 10% to me, but obviously I'm not good with numbers!
Sorry.Comment
