Pre-World War II there were many great British champions. Since then there have been fewer but champions like Lennox Lewis, Ken Buchanan, Joe Calzaghe, Naseem Hamed, Barry McGuigan, Chris Eubank, John Conteh, Randy Turpin and others have represented their country well.

Ted "Kid" Lewis, Jimmy Wilde, Freddie Welsh, Jack "Kid" Berg, Bob Fitzsimmons (if you count him as British) were of course legendary.

I'm American too, and I still know all those fighters. If you don't know Calzaghe, Hatton, Benn, Eubank, Naseem freaking Hamed, come on those are all well known fighters who were all greats.

Even though I said they were all well known and all greats, but I didn't call them the best fighters ever so I must hate them.
