The amateur loss that Mosley had with Forrest was well documented going into the fight. A lot of times that type of history doesn't translate into a professional victory for the amateur winner, but in that case it did. Just a bad style match up. Mosley is a better fighter than Forrest though. He struggled a little bit with Mayorga but he wouldn't have lost to Mora of all people. And he would've beaten Ike Quartey more handily than Forrest did. Barrera is also a better fighter than Junior Jones.
Second fight wasn't really an ass kicking like someone mentioned and burner pretty much nailed it. Was pretty amazing though first fight Shane could have been TKO 2nd round he was seriously in a bad way, i watched the video the other day of it. The head butt/cut seemed to really **** him up according to him (he should have took more time) Forrest landed some brutal shots afterwards too.
Never seen Mosley hurt like that before or since..
Never made much sense to me. Shane was 38-0, pound 4 pound #1 in the world. Forrest comes along, dominates the first fight, even knocking shane down, then in the rematch owns him again.
