he didn't fight oscar at 145, he fought oscar at 147 which isn't a catchweight. Oscar was at 154 and pacquiao was at 135. Fighting at welterweight was a "meet me in the middle" type of deal, even though pac only weighed in at 142.

Cotto is not oscar. You have an opportunity to fight Oscar, you take it, no matter what the contract says. Ask any fighter in boxing if they would like to fight oscar. It's the biggest fight any fighter can make and it's been that way for the last 10 years or so.

Why fight cotto at 147 when pac fights at 140? Who is cotto to Pac? Is cotto the #1 fighter in the world? Is cotto the most talked about fighter in the world? Is cotto the biggest money maker the world? No, but Pac is all of those things, therefore it's not Pac's obligation to fight Cotto at 147, Pac has earned the right to call the shots since he's the biggest draw in boxing, he's the one in demand, not cotto.

Further, Pac has fought in four weight classes in less than 2 years. It's unrealistic to keep demanding pac goes up in weight. He is not a true welterweight and everyone knows that. The ONLY reason he's even considering fighting some of these guys at welter is because they happen to be the biggest names in boxing at the time and money will make you do dangerous things.
