    Is a though one but...
I'll give it to Bernard Hopkins cause is the only one that has ever beaten Pavlik... and the fight with Calzaghe was very close.

    ****en A, bro!

Beating a bolt-upright, slow and one-dimensional fighter like Moby gives him the edge.

You didn't even think to at least use Tarver for triangular logic? It'd be nearly as silly, but at least it'd have SOME basis in reality.

Roy in his prime was a sight to behold, but he was born naturally talented with superb reflex's and speed and coordination!!Which he used very well,on a natural level he is better, was better hands down!!

B-Hop on the other hand has aged better and is a master of the craft!!He wasn't born naturally gifted like Jones, but he studied his craft and learned to be a great fight and in the end outlasted Roy as an elite fighter,so B-Hop is greater!!!!

Done to death. RJ will be remembered as the gr8er fighter historically. Bhop has just aged better than he has. RJ's crash takes away a lil bit too much of his overall career shine in some people's minds. But he's above Bhop imo, and that says a lot cuz Bhop is a legend himself.

That was very thoughtful but I like it and in someway agree with you

History will always put Jones above Hopkins because he was the more celebrated of the two.

Even though I disagree and think Hopkins is the better fighter ; I'm cool with that.

I know his place in History was cemented years ago.

All this post 40 **** is just icing on the cake.

I'm biased of course because I'm more of a fan of bhop than jones, with that said in my mind hopkins accomplished more with less. Sure, jones' heavyweight title is historic and is unrivaled, but it was against John Ruiz after all.

Both were nearly impossible to beat in their prime though, Jones just looked more pleasing when dominating his foes. Hopkins patiently picked apart his opponents and set traps, which resulted in some sleeper fighters, but nonetheless dominating, Jones' natural abilities on the other hand allowed him to clown around in the ring and make his opponents look absolutely foolish in the process. I think that has a lot to with why people will always favor jones over hopkins, but hopkins is much, much better technically speaking, which is why hopkins has aged well were as as soon as jones' natural abilities started to slip, he fell off rather quickly.

Has Hopkins got a win over Vinny Paz?

                Don't think so.

Even if Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya were WW at one time, history will Show Trinidad and De La Hoya at JMW and how Trinidad dominated JMW for the time he was there. DLH at SMW was really good too.
B Hop has the better Resume and took out two RJJ conquers Glen Johnson, Tarver. Beat Winky. Beat Lineal MW champ Pavlik who will move up in weight in a couple years. Maybe after the SMW tourney.
And his amazing run at MW beating 16 top ten MW in his 20 defenses. Impressive.
He is easily top 50 all time. and maybe could crack 30-40 imo in some cases. But if he was to get that 3rd weight class. Then he would easily be 30-40.

And the funny thing is Hopkins prime was from around 97-2002ish. He isn't even in his prime no more, and still gets it done. Its amazing to watch. and you see Roy Jones out of his prime, and see he is a shell of himself.
