After he embarrassed Tua, and brutalized the then unknockoutable Chris Byrd he was penciled down to take on Evander Holyfield, in a fight which would have been a massacre. I sincerely believe that Ike would have fought a close fight with Lewis, and drowned him in the late rounds when Lewis slows down like he usually does, and we all know Ike had ridiculous stamina and holds the compubox punch record for HW's, not to mention he had 1 punch knockout power, and a chin of titanium. Wlad would have gotten brutalized, and Vitali would have lost a UD. Ike Ibeabuchi was the truth, and it is a damn shame he is rotting away ina prison for a crime he probably did not commit.
Ike Ibeabuchi would have become the successor to Lewis had he not been arrested.

Ike was faster than lewis. Had a better workrate than anyone Lewis ever fought, and Lewis would not have been able to get his respect. It would look like Lewis vs mercer, with Lewis getting worn down over 12, but losing this time since he would be facing a mad badder than mercer.Comment

The problem with him being successor is that he had mental problems which weren't going to go away no matter what.
So it's like saying if his brain chemistry was different he would have been champ, but that can be said about others too.
He was gonna crash, sooner or later. He was uncontainable.Comment

Some people say his problems were excaserbated by the shots he took in the Tua fight.
He had all kinds of incidents including the air rage one right after that.
It's amazing he was able to win a few more fights even descending into madness.Comment
