What If Cotto/Pac Sells More than Marquez/May?

dumb question.
simple as this,
mayweather vs de la hoya= sold more than pacquiao vs
mayweather vs hatton= sold more than pacquiao vs
mayweather vs marquez= about to sell more than pacquiao vs
^this will determine who the bigger draw is.Comment

It seems logically but A + B is not always C..
Why people would like to see more Mayweather vs Marquez rather than Pacquiao vs Cotto?
Pacquiao + Cotto fans > Mayweather + Marquez fansComment

It probably will anyway... Cotto vs Pacquiao is a bigger fight than Mayweather vs JMM, people look at the Floyd fight as a tune-up... I respect JMM too much to call it a tune-up but its what people think of it as.Comment

Bob Arum will stand in the way of Mayweather-Pacquiao.
Don't blame the fighters if it doesn't happen.
About 18% of Pacquiao's cut goes to Arum. Without him in the deal, the two fighters could come to an agreement.Comment

Mayweather's reputation has gone downtrend in recent years..Comment

The argument would be if Floyd could do better numbers with Cotto than pac. Of course Pac and Mayweather both have drawing power but the fight as a whole has to peak interest to sell. Oscar was a guaranteed PPV success but even his numbers would fluctuate depending on who is opposite him. Pac/Cotto is the more attractive fight IMO.but that goes against what Mayweather and his fans have been claiming that Floyd is the biggest draw in the world.
THE biggest draw in the world should be able to carry a fight on his name. Also, remember how Floyd fans were saying Cotto was a NOBODY PPV wise? Even Floyd was on ESPN saying "Cotto who? Dont nobody know who Cotto is. He needs to step his PPV game up"
So you have 2 big draws fighting 2 lesser known fighters.
The supposed biggest draw in the sport should be able to carry this fight. If Manny/Cotto sells more, you'll know who the biggest draw is and who deserves the bigger purse.
personally, I think this should be a win bonus fight but egos will never let it happen.Comment
