    Penalosa, Gorres Impress McGirt

Two-time world champion and 2002 "Trainer of the Year" Buddy McGirt said yesterday he was "very impressed" with former WBC super flyweight champion Gerry Penalosa and highly rated Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation super flyweight Z "The Dream" Gorres who have been working out at his gym in Orlando, Florida since last week. In an overseas telephone conversation with Viva Sports/Manila Standard, McGirt, the former world junior welterweight and welterweight champion said "they both can fight aside from being good listeners." I agree with McGirt's observation on Penalosa. That's right, he can punch and is definitely more technically superior than the PacMan. I was at ringside twice to watch him fight against Sor Vorapin and Seung Koo Lee.

I believe he can be a champ once more, he better train his sights on Castillo or Kawashima @115 or the two Thai champs (one has been a TKO victim already) @118. Stay away from Rafa.
