Clottey has that same winky style defense. P-Will would tee off on him all night long. Williams has a proven chin. If he can take Margarito's best shots, he can take Clottey's.

To beat williams you have to be a great counter puncher, clottey is not that guy.
clottey and winky might have the same defense but they have vastly different offences. winky holds the tight guard but his offence is his jab which worked great against smaller fighters (ala tito) but against bigger guys it didn't work.

clottey explodes with 3/4 punch combos and i think with a sustained and focussed assault on williams body he would be able to bring him down.

however id still favour williams via UD i think he has excellent lateral movement and he knows how to fight at range effectively.

I'm not really a Williams fan, but his style spells DEATH for Clottey, Cotto had his chances to get a HUGE lead, but thanks to the cut, he wasn't able to, Williams won't back peddle with a bad cut, but he will keep throwing punches and land 100+ against Clottey's 10 punches and win fairly easy.

A weak ass welterweight is the kind that drops to his knees faster than Monica Lewinsky on a date-**** drug like Cotto.

He is young, he is prime. 147 should be fine for him. Don't forget he weighed in at 145 for the Quintana rematch.
          Dont remind them.

exactly! imagine paul throwing a combo and clottey blocking it with his excellent guard then clottey countering with a quick 3 or 4 punch combo with pauls ****ty defense.

Some people don't realize that Williams would not stop throwing, hence no time for a counter, and if you do land a 2 punch counter, Williams just landed 25.

You can block punches if you are facing a weak Welterweight like the freak.

A Cottosexual should NOT call anybodys defense ****ty.

You punks are on Clottey's **** because he made Cotto run like a scalded cat.

Williams would horsewhip clottey's PASSIVE ass.
