Oscar Would Fight Tito At 154...

    "De La Hoya to 154?
    By Press Guy @ 7:20 am 2/15/2005
Ahead of his assignment as the featured promoter on Saturday night’s huge Hopkins-Eastman card is Los Angeles, Oscar de la Hoya stole himself a little of the limelight surrounding the fight with a statement indicating something of his future. De La Hoya mentioned the possibility of fighting Felix Trinidad in what would be a revenge mission of sorts for him as Trinidad was the first to defeat De La Hoya back in the late nineties. De La Hoya, unsuccessful by his standards as a middleweight, even went as far as to say that he would fight Trinidad at the 154-pound light middleweight limit. The nature of making this huge fight is a complex one, not the least of which is the fact that Trinidad must first find a way past southpaw stylist Ronald Wright later this year. Tito said he is staying at middleweight, I doubt it will happen but possibly as the 160 division is shallow for the paychecks that Felix is looking for. Although at THIS point I favor Tito, Oscar has slipped so much he isnt as fast and doesnt move much and I dont think it is his weight but due to him slipping moving down wont help. Oscar is on his way out, Tito takes Oscar legitmately this time around.

I think Tito would go back down in weight if the pay is right. I would favor Tito at 154 in another close fight.

Tito will not go to 154 to fight Oscar because he knows he could kill him at 160. Why even risk it. He'll probably beat Winky and go for one more fight against Hopkins and retire, win or lose.

Oscar is just talkin ****..He knows that Tito won't go down to 154, plus the biggest problem has been that Oscar still wants to make more money than Trinidad in a rematch...If he really wanted to fight Trinidad he would have agreed the terms of Team Trinidad.

Maybe they can fight at 156. I don't know why Tito acts as if he doesn't want to fight Oscar anymore...he can get some serious cash and have a chance to possibly erase all the controversy surrounding the first fight..

Hopkins is ducking Tito, Oscar is trying to take the attention off that, by calling Tito out, while moving down.

Listen i'm puerto rican and tito is my favorite fighter but lets be serious. I'm sick of people saying Hopkins is ducking Sturm, tito, or anybody what does hopkins have to do to prove he is scared of no one and can prolly make a fool of every fighter around his weight class. Why would he duck tito a man that he dominated and basically sent into retirement. Hopkins is worried about teo things in this stage of his career money and big fights. After eastman he'll probably fight glen johnson and the winner of winky-tito.

You cant fight the winner of Winky-Tito if your at light-Heavey, the guys ducking him, and we dont need your life story for your opinion, if he fights Johnson he cant fight Tito, Hopkins ducked Tito the first time, and hes doing it again, wake up, and smell the coffee, stop being so easy, your being fooled, he had three fights with Allen.
