Glen is one of those fighters whose record doesn't indicate just how good they are/were. Much like Saoul Mamby, Iran Barkley, Juan LaPorte, Freddie Pendleton, etc.

Glen is a tough test for anyone. Although I think Dawson will beat him again, he'll put up a good ***in fight in a losing effort.

I'd like to see Johnson/Adamek. That'd be a calculated brawl.

I don't think anyone claims he has been robbed in all of his fights. If you've seen some of them, you'd agree though that he has been at the wrong end of a hometown decision several times.

You're right, but the point remains. If you didn't win the fight clearly, you shouldn't be complaining. Yes, Johnson has some close losses that could've gone the other way, but if he was a GREAT fighter, he wouldn't be in that position.

I have no problem with Glenn. He's a gentlemen and a warrior. But some of his fans can be a bit much with the underrated/underappreciated bit. Glenn Johnson promoter claim is so underrated and underappreciated that it actually has an adverse effect. Johnson is actually overrated and overappreciated.

Still he's a very good fighter and I'm looking forward to Dawson-Johnson.

I think Dawson will stop him on his feet. Dawson knows what he did wrong the first fight. I still had him winning. Johnson isn't going to do anything new, imo. This will be easier than the first fight for Chad
Johnson didn't have a mark on his face in the first fight, and Dawson's lips were all bloody and swollen from eating leather. Another thing people overlook is the fact that Johnson's defense is a lot better than Dawson's when it comes to blocking punches. Johnson has a hell of a chin and Chad isn't busy or powerful enough to discourage Glen Johsnon. He might interrupt his flow at times and keep him at bay, but he isn't knocking Johnson out. People need to get that idea out of their heads.

My favorite comment was from a Johnson fan that told me the Dawson rematch should be in Miami because Johnson deserves some hometown hospitality. It's funny because 6 out of Johnson's last 8 fights have been in his adopted home state of Florida. How about Dawson gets a hometown fight for a change? Dawson has only fought once in his home state of Connecticut in his last 9 fights. A state where there are at least 3 perfectly viable venue options for a fight the caliber of Johnson-Dawson.

Road Warrior? I guess if you're talking about Dawson, then yes, but Johnson has been fighting in his backyard fairly frequently over the last few years.
What you are saying is true about some of Johnson's fights being held in Florida, but outside of Miami judges still don't care about that. Florida is where a lot of bad decisions have taken place. Burton-Augustus and Cintron-Martinez are good examples of that. The judges they choose in that state are shady. I don't think Johnson dominated Dawson, but if Showtime showed punch stats like HBO did, a lot of people's opinions would change where Dawson deserved this decision is concerned. Johnson looked like a million bucks in the championship rounds, and the type of punches he got hit with were grazing type punches that got caught on the gloves. Effectiveness, aggression, and punch accuracy definitely belonged to Glen. But credit is due to Dawson for finally manning up and fighting Johnson in the rematch. This debate about the first fight can go on and on though. So I'm going to leave off right here.

Glen Johnson is an old school tough guy, willing to fight anybody anywhere. Can't wait to see Dawson-Johnson II, the first fight was great.
