ANGULO TO FACE ROSADO IN PRIMM, NEVADA
Press Release: Junior middleweight Alfredo "Perro" Angulo will return to take on power-punching Gabriel "King" Rosado on Friday, August 7th in the Star of the Desert Arena at Buffalo Bill’s Resort Casino. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN2"s Friday Night Fights. “Alfredo was disappointed in his last performance against Kermit Cintron and despite his valiant effort in the latter rounds, he had let Cintron build up too much of a lead in the early rounds,” said Gary Shaw, who promotes Angulo. “He didn't go home and lick his wounds and is ready to take on Gabriel. A lot of fight fans will be able to see Alfredo’s return thanks to ESPN Friday Night Fights.”
Angulo (15-1, 12 KOs), of Mexicali, Mexico, has a streak of 11 victories in a row have been by knockout, a string interrupted only by the loss to former welterweight champion Cintron.
Rosado (12-3, 7 KOs), of Philadelphia, has won seven of his last eight fights, including decision victories over undefeated James Moore in June 2008 and former world champion Kassim Ouma last April. The six-foot right-hander is known for his effective body punching ability and ring generalship.
The remainder of the card will be announced at a later date.
ESPN Friday Night Fights, presented by Primm Valley Casino Resorts, is at 6 p.m. on Aug. 7 at Buffalo Bill’s in the Star of the Desert Arena.
