I'm a Jones fan but this is a meaningless fight and its on PPV. Don't know who is gonna shell out money to see two fighters past their primes. The undercard is nothing to write home about either. Jones lost a little of his speed and is not the fighter he once was. At this level you lose just a bit and you become ordinary
i think what he is saying the way he covered up the last few years he couldnt see the punches coming, also wasnt as active (ala winky wright). i agree he still beats alot of people but still far from what he was but that is expected from a 40 year old.
Its a little early but does anyone know if this is gonna be shown in the UK? And and ideas of the channel? I m surprisingly interested in it....Its like a freak show in a way, pointless but you still have to watch...
no he hasnt thats the one thing he still has
his reflexes have slowed and his movement has diminished
he would still beat most guys at LHW even now
Like who? Glen would knock him out cold. Tarver would beat hima third time. Dawson would probably knock him out. Hopkins would easily beat him. Roy is done. One of the best fighters of his generation, but he should have hung them up after the Tarver KO loss. He is just letting fighters he would toy with in his prime KO him now.

Yeah Roy, you never had that Joe Frazier type to challange you but now it's gonna be Jeff Lacy? You had Antonio Tarver and regardless of the weight excuse, that third triology fight was winnable for him. He just chose to clown around unstead of actually stepping it up and try to win it.
Ali stepped up past his prime in the Thrilla in Manilla, and he won it because Joe was tired and busted up. Tarver was tired in that third fight, all Roy had to do is step it up and he didn't. Later on he claimed that he lost on purpose because of his father being in his corner.
