Amir Khan
I made a point of going home today and trying to find a few of Amir's fights on youtube. I was not disappointed with what I found. The man has blazing speed, aggressiveness and displays decent footwork and wonderful accuracy. I am very much looking forward to his fight against Kotelnik and I will be rooting for him all the way!
I don't get the hate. The man's not at all arrogant. Hell, he seems modest, really. He said in one interview that he would have liked the fight with Barrera to be clean and when asked what he thought of what Kotelnik said of him he, even though prodded by the reporter questioning him to be less than tactful, calmly remarked that his opponent is just promoting the fight and that Kotelnik did not make the fight to just lie down for him (Khan).
Oh, and something else I heard Amir say which could have bearing on his career. He explained that part of his questionable chin strategy was, of course, a better defense but in that he revealed that he was doing something wrong which made him move into the punches or something like which basically doubled the impact power. I found that telling. He may not have a great chin, but hopefully the su****ion of his chin and the increase in weight will greatly improve his punch resistance.
I like the guy. I think you haters need to stop. Hopefully he wins this fight in glorious fashion.
