How come no one ever looks at things from his point of view? Just because you dont like him doesnt mean that he is wrong about everything he says. We are fans so we look at things from a differnt POV but no matter how much you dont like hearing it, boxing is a business. Its not just Floyd. Every fighter does this. You saw it when Margarito finally got on top and youre seeing some of it now with Pac. Now lets look at it from Floyd's POV.
Lets go back 7 months before Pac-Oscar. If anyone wouldve talked about Floyd fighting Pac then, they wouldve gave Floyd the much bigger cut unless you are just an all out hater. Thats how Floyd is looking at it. Floyd is thinking about 7 months ago how even though Pac was figthing so called elite guys like JMM, EM, and MAB, he still wasnt making as much money as Floyd was fighting guys like Baldy, Gatti, and Zab, let alone Oscar and Hatton. At best Pac was just equal in PPV despite fighting the elite fighters on PPV. Floyd wouldve got 70/30 against Pac at that time.
Now no doubt Pac has since beat Oscar & Hatton and made big money but again look at it from Floyd's POV. Those are the 2 guys he just beat before he retired and he still sold nearly twice as much as Pac. If you were in Floyd's shoes you would laugh thinking about 50/50. Dont play Floyd like a chump. You can try to say he doesnt want to fight this guy or that guy but you are a straight fool if you think that he doesnt want to fight Pac. He wants to fight him bad but he's not going to fall for just anything. How can Pac get 50/50 when Floyd sold just as much or more against average guys as Pac did against the elite? How can Pac get 50/50 when he just beat the same 2 guys that Floyd already beat and only made half the money? Pac's PPV's against JMM were jokes. Im torn on what Floyd will sell against JMM but I think we all can agree that he will beat what Pac did. If youre looking at if from Floyd's view, then how can you argue? Floyd is probably looking at it as just more Floyd hate. Whats funny is that even some of his hardcore fans are falling for it.
The other thing is that you have 2 totally different guys & cultures. Floyd is Money Mayweather. Pac has been fighting for scraps most of his career. Floyd is the type that would turn down a fight if he feels like the money isnt right but Pac is still use to getting short money so he would take a little loss to make the big money Mayweather fight. The fact is that Floyd would be a fool to take 50/50 and if you were in Floyd's shoes then you would think the same. Dont give me that P4P stuff. Floyd was #1 until he retired and I dont care what Pac does, it still doesnt look better than having that 0 in the L column. Thats the main thing and thats why he should get the lions share and Im not talking about 51/49 either. You fans can say what you want and Arum can say what they want but I guarantee you one thing, Pac & Roach are no fools. They may aruge at 1st to make it look good but they will settle for less. We all know that Floyd will turn it down if he doesnt feel like its right. He could fight Mosley & Cotto or he could just retire again. He doesnt care because everyone rips him anyways.
However, Pac & Roach want the Floyd fight way more than any other because they know its way more money no matter how much less they take and they also know that because of size & inactivity, Floyd will be just as hard or even easier in there mind then a Cotto or Mosley fight so why not take less? You can also tell that Pac is nearly ready to hang them up and wants the big payday and legacy fight. Floyd knows this and no way he takes a short. He would be ****** to do so. No matter what Pac does, after every fight all the mainstream fans, hardcore fans, and boxing media ask if we will get to see them vs Floyd. Thats what its always about and Floyd knows it. If you dont agree with this then its just blind hate or ******ity. Seriously, give me 1 reason why Floyd would take 50/50? It makes no sense considering all of the facts. There isnt a single fact in Pac's favor, while you can name a bunch in Floyd's favor and Im talking about real facts. YOu also got Arum and some others actually saying that Pac should get more and thats a total joke. How come people get so upset when Floyd says he wants more but no one gets upset when Roach & Arum say they want 60/40? Its such a double standard
