Yeah I hear you man, I was checking out some more Dirrell fights last night, and the guy is pretty impressive. I wasn't really keeping track of him before. He has a good enough chance.

Very weird odds but then again bookies haven't be too sharp with their odds lately , Chambers + 300 anyone ?
No sharp punter will be betting on Froch at those odds vs 5 fighters , I think Abraham and Kessler will have different odds when other bookies put their lines up.

I think it is due to him fighting and beating a high level of competition as of late. The rest really have not. Froch is coming off two tough fights and is riding a wave. The rest have either been inactive, or fighting lower caliber guys as of late.

Thats the WORST odds I have ever seen for anything.

So Froch has to beat 5 of these guys, which is no easy task, and the odds they give for him doing that is 7/4.

          Absolute bull****.

Froch simply isn't beating Taylor again, AND Kessler.

            No way.

those odds are interesting to say the least.

I have to admit though...ward's odds are about right when you consider who he's going to be matched up against...first kessler then taylor...two of the best out of the whole division. he's not getting fights that are easy for him to win.

However, being a bay area native i have to back ward. and im pretty excited both of his first two fights will be held in oakland (which is only roughly 25-35 mins away from me) so i will have to go watch at least one of those fights.

You would think kessler and taylor would get top priority in terms of where the fight is held. they might even be losing some money on this but i cant complain...im coming out ahead.

you'd think though kessler could generate more $$$ with the fight held in his backyard rather than ward generating more $$$ with the fight held in oakland. same goes for taylor.

              either way this is great.

              im real excited.

That is a very valid point.

Ward and Dirrell odds are spot on they don't have much of chance to win this tournament, they have been in soft and that's they have looked good. Ward or Dirrell will more than likely have two or three losses each when this all said and done.

i'd have to agree with this statement.

Compared to what they are use to (in terms of level of competition) they are going to be making huge steps up in opponents.

ward will be fighting kessler (whose only loss is to calzaghe), and taylor (who we seen dominate 154 for a short while and have highly competitve fights with pavlik and forch...fights he could have easily ended up winning).

so he's definately got the odds against him just against those two guys alone.

I said earlier Kessler and Froch were my 2 picks, I would have expected Kessler to be favourite though. They're the two World Champions and proven fighters, and apart from JT the others are somewhat untested at this high a level/weight.

I won't be betting with those odds though, 7/4 to win the tournament is ****e. (he doesn't have to win every fight btw whoever said that, you can conceivably lose 2 out of 3 league fights and get through with one win). So someone could win it with only 3 wins out of 5 fights.
