I give props to Pacman as i've criticized cotto. I think pacman is a very good fighter who has beaten lightweights/featherweights but also realistic enough to say he has not fought any welterweights. Hatton is a lightweight, the oscar that fought floyd was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY different than the oscar that fought pacman. A featherweight could've beated the last oscar. Pacman is a very good fighter who will be regarded as one of the best lightweight champs ever. If he beats cotto, mosley, floyd, clottey...i'll consider him a good welterweight also...COMMON SENSE DUDE.

Look at the last 8 pacman fights:

        Hatton (140)-Light welter
        Oscar (145)- Welter
        Diaz (135)- lightweight
        Marquez (130) Featherweight
        Barrera (130) Featherweight
        Solis (130) Super featherweight
        Morales (129) Super Featherweight
        Larios (129) Super Featherweight

If fight does go forward he'll be fighting a boxer (Cotto) that has not fought anyone under 145 in last 8 fights. That is crazy ! If pacman beats Cotto, i'll give him MUCH props. Save this post, i'll give him much props !

I stand corrected. You gotta admit there is a lot of rican hate on Pac these days though.

I like both fighters, they represent what I look for, that warrior spirit and balls to the wall mentality.

Hell yea..think about Pacman's quick punches to cotto's head and cotto's body shots to pacman's body. It'll be like the old fights.

let's keep in mind that he doesnt get fight night weigh in. for all we know, he could be blowing back up to 170

Correct me if I am wrong, but for his last three fights at different weight classes Pac has come in on fight night at 148.....so this leads me to believe this is what he is walking around at or near.....it also means he has been beating up on smaller guys for a long time.

So the point is, that if Manny doesn't want none of the big boys, he can hang out at JrWW. Pretty cut and dry.

Clottey reportedly weighed close to 170, as did Margarito. Cotto didn't complain. He laced em' up and went to battle.

Cotto has repeatedley said he'll rehydrate about 8-10 pounds. 159 was clearly his biggest weight.

But like another poster said, what's good for the goose
