I just feel Khan gets ahead of himself when talking his ability and it comes off as arrogance. He should be speaking like a guy who is learning his trade not a multi-weight world-beating champion like he portrays. There's no need for it.

He's not as bad as some but it can be annoying. It's a shame because besides that, he seems like a decent bloke.

they're both arrogant but Prince had something to back it up. Khan still learning, that's why it seems inappropriate.
I honestly dont understand this "Khan is arrogant" stuff. The bloke can barely conduct an interview without nervously mumbling. He is light years away from Naz in that category. What has he ever said thats arrogant?

What you said was an Opinion, and a pretty dopey one

And mumble he does, too! He always sound so disjointed and jerky-voiced in interviews. It's probably a combination of nerves and the Norvern accent. He's probably a laff outside of the ring.

I only read this, I did not hear it, but he's stated that Kotelnik is the worst champion or something like. I think most fighters say something out of character from time to time. Khan does seem diffident and that is not a hallmark of arrogance. I will definitely be rooting for Khan this upcoming bout.

arrogant is perhaps the wrong term, but he gets way ahead of himself in terms of talking of his own ability and potential opponents and it's not an endearing characteristic. He's blatantly feeding the over-hype and seems delusional about where he stands in overall scheme of things.

Right now he needs to do his talking in the ring, earn the right to face such opponents.

Bearing in mind that some, or a lot, of the talk has probably been encouraged by Warren and co. It's all promotion in the end. I prefer a guy who has a lot to say, regardless of subject matter, over someone who doesn't even speak English and is humble all the time. I find the former to be a far more engaging personality trait - it makes me buy the PPV or ticket.

fair point about Warren etc, as I said I don't dislike the guy, he seems a decent bloke, for me it just gets tiresome at times.

On your second point, I prefer humble talkers to be honest like Cotto etc but I do have time for Prince and Mayweather because like it or not they bring something special to the ring and showed us they were the real deal first.

would it be fair to consider that khan is after all just a kid and kids can get over excited, and let their mouths run away with them?
