Enzo Maccarinelli is determined to become a world champion once again and aims to relaunch his career by beating Russia's Denis Lebedev.
The former WBO cruiserweight champion is on the undercard for Amir Khan's challenge for Andreas Kotelnik's WBA light-welterweight title at the MEN Arena.
The 28-year-old is keen to get his preparation right after a shock defeat to Ola Afolabi in his last bout.
Maccarinelli has made a lot of changes to get his career back on track, including parting ways with long-time trainer Enzo Calzaghe to team up with Karl Ince.
And that means spending five days a week up at Ince's gym Preston as he prepares to put his defeats to Afolabi and David Haye behind him.

Maccarinelli told The Times newspaper: "I miss my wife and kids, but I felt it was the right thing to do.
"It was tough leaving Enzo because he was more than just a trainer, but I had to do was right for my career. It's worked well so far, the sparkle is back in my training, I've got that twinkle in my eye."
In Lebedev, Maccarinelli faces a renowned big puncher who himself is looking to take a step closer to a world cruiserweight title shot by dispatching the Welshman.
"I was offered the chance of an easier comeback fight or this one," added Maccarinelli.
"But if I can win this, it will put me right back in the mix again."
