Ricky Hatton Set to Comeback in November

Ricky Hatton has reportedly shelved retirement plans and is plotting a November comeback, according to The Sun.

There has been much conjecture surrounding the Manchester fighter's future ever since he suffered a devastating second-round knockout defeat to pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao in May.

A number of high-profile figures in the boxing community called on the 30-year-old to retire after that loss, but Hatton has instead taken time out to weigh up his options.

He has always said he does not want to end his career on a loss and is now believed to be back in the gym training for a return.

Unbeaten WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko, 31, is thought to be one of the names under consideration with Manchester's MEN Arena or Cardiff's Millennium Stadium both potential venues.

Fellow Briton Amir Khan is another possible opponent, although that will be reliant on the 22-year-old winning the WBA light-welterweight title from Andreas Kotelnik on Saturday night.

    I just posted that

Khan vs. Hatton will be on the May-Pac undercard.

    Nov. 14th.

Theyll need a venue that can seat 110,000 people.

No way is Hatton vs Khan an undercard fight. Unless Sky sports do a joint ppv.

If Khan wins this Saturday, expect Wembley Stadium to host this fight.

You mean Pac-Cotto on Nov 14th? I haven't heard anything offical about Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. i really doubt they're going to fight this year, unless Mayweather picks up a fight and if the Pac/Cotto thing doesn't go through. Why does Pac have to fight Cotto anyways? To stay busy? Bored? *****, i wouldn't take that fight, at least not now. It just doesn't seem very logical. It's funny, a Mayweather vs. Marquez won't sell, but a JMM vs. Pacman would.

Khan vs. Hatton huh? Country men vs. country men.

The man has just been knocked out. The guy who he wants to fight is undefeated, and a WBA champion. It's a good comeback fight.

It should be. This will be the biggest fight in Britain since Benn - Eubank.
