BECAUSE HE PAID OFF THE IRS 3 MONTHS AGO!!
Either way, we both know that he's not gonna offer Marquez pay off money and is just saving face in light of an increasingly hostile press and fan base.
Furthermore, Marquez wouldnt take the 1 million. He's gonna earn more for the fight. Win or lose this will be his biggest take to date. You think Marquez gonna give that up when he already has Mayweather under a contractual obligation? Would you? Please!! Marquez hasnt made that much money over the years and this is retirement type money. Think man!

Obviously this is Floyd's way of saying
I better make this fight with Pac Man first before I have no leverage once my PPV numbers come in way below Pac vs Jmm fights. If that happens, theres no way that Floyd would even get a 50/50 cut against Pac let alone the bigger cut.
Floyd is smart business man and right now he is feeling the pressure that his fight with JMM is going to do much worse than JMM vs PAC. If that happens you can say goodbye to that 50/50 BS he wants. Either way hope something good comes up because this maybe Pac's last fight before he retires and tries his hand at politics one more time.

A little late?
I really don't know what the Mayweather camp is thinking right now. I'm not slighting them at all, I am just really curious into what they think about this whole situation. Let's take the money aspect of it, which really what it's all about in the first place. Floyd I believe should have called for Pac way before this. Since he waited so late to call him out like this, he is now stuck between a rock and a hard place. For instance, let's present a hypothetical and say Cotto beats Pacquiao. Guess what? No more huge fight with Pac. However, if Pac goes ahead and beats Cotto, Pac has every right to demand more of the cut. Seems like bad timing to me. I'm still intersted in seeing if Pac jumps though, which he may because the money opportunity is just too great to pass up. If there was any good time to get Floyd in the ring it would be now, with the layoff and the pull Pac has at the negotiating table.

For those of you who really believe that Mayweather is BROKE, then you are very easy to fool...The white press always does this to Black people just like they tried to say MJ was broke when he owns 50% of all Sony's Music labels...They never ever run a story where a famous white guy is now broke except for Madoff...It is lies...
MAYWEATHER IS NOT BROKE; IDIOTS!!!
Secondly, the only reason why the fight won't sell good PPV numbers (Mayweather vs Marquez) is because everyone knows who the winner will be! I wouldn't spend my money to go see Mayweather fighting a definite Win against Marquez...But if you look at history, mayweather ALWAYS brings in more money than Pacman, and you can't just go off of one fight...you have to look at all of them.
In the end of the day Mayweather is the Best P4P easily and I cannot wait for him to beat marquez then Pacman...Then there will be another person calling him out, and when he doesn't face that person, everyone who is a Mayweather Hater on this forum will say he is running again. It will never stop!

This is the fight everybody wants to see, so they should GET IT ON!.
Mayweather will probably defeat Pacquiao by wide decision or late KO, but Manny is a hard, fast puncher and definitely has a chance of knocking Floyd out.
