    Ricky Hatton vs. Vyacheslav Senchenko?

Some British boxing fans in another boxing forum are saying a UK newspaper is reporting that Ricky Hatton's next fight will be in November against Vyacheslav Senchenko and will be for the "regular" WBA welterweight title.

Do any of the UK fans here know anything about this?

They better not have the nerve to call this a legitimate title fight. And I'll lose respect for Ricky Hatton if he tries to claim he won another world title. I understand trying to go out on a win though.

To be honest I feel Senchenko would be a solid test for the combacking Hatton and a more worthy and hungry opponet than Steve Forbes.

Senchenko is unbeaten in 29 fights and holds wins over Frederic Klose and the 28-0 Yuriy Nuzhnenko. Senchenko also represented Ukraine at the 2000 Summer Olympics.

I feel this a very strange fight for Hatton shall he return. A huge risk, little reward. Senchenko isnt very well known and is pretty dangerous and another strange factor is that he is 147, unless Hatton is coming back at 147? But there is no douting on his best day Hatton could beat him, but just how washed up is Hatton now?

If Hatton shall return I was expecting a opponet more along the lines of a Forbes, or a Lovermor N'Dou. An then Hatton would look for a massive showdown with Amir Khan.

Ricky Hatton: 'Ah've always consider Senchenko one of the bes' pound for pound fighters in the world. And I think, doin a number on him, which I can know I can say I will, will put me right up there in the top 2 or 3 in the world - where Ricky Hatton belongs'

Ricky Hatton can be pound for pound number 1, all he needs to do is win this fight and then perhaps take out khan/kotelnik winner and he's there

It's supposed to be for Senchenko's WBA title at 147.

But I'm not sure if it's really in serious discussions or not, perhaps one of our members in the UK knows more.
