Same here.
If Khan wins we have another world champ, so it'll be great.
Some people actually use that tactic as a win-win.
Bet on the opposite side your supporting to win, If they win, your quids in, If they lose, hell your team just won, f.uck money
That's my tactic in a 50/50 fight where i can't decide a winner. Win-win situation.
I'm in the same boat. I'm not a fan of his, but because everybody seems to be on the hatewagon, i'm supporting him in a quest for a World Title.Comment

After watching the sparring videos etc, and going over it in my head.
First off I thought Khan would easy UD Kotelnik, But now when I actually LOOK into the points, It seems ****** how I thought of this.
- Khan has never fought at Light-Welterweight at this level, hell he's never fought at this level.
- Kotelnik has a low KO %, but I think his power is greatly underrated on here, and he has plenty enough power to KO/TKO Khan, being that he's in a bigger weight division, and Khan has been knocked down and put on ***** street by featherweights.
- I think some people, although talked alot about on here, overrate his chin. Seriously, it's disgustingly terrible, one of the worst I have ever seen, a shot Barrera caught him, Kotelnik will easily.
- Khan lacks serious power, especially since Roach is making him work on speed, Kotelnik has a GREAT chin, and a good defence, he will walk down Khans shots and catch him.
- After watching a recent sparring vid, Khan was caught way way too often, his defence has never been great, Don't let your heart cloud your judgement folks.
- The Barrera performance, whilst good, was not great. Barrera was well shot, at a ****** weight for him, and EVERY time Khan even gout touched by Barreras glove, he would fling his arms in the air Pacman style to show he wasn't hurt, yea Khan, you wern't supposed to be ****ing hurt with that light jab.
I just posted this to try and help some of you guys out, THIS IS NOT A HATE THREAD, I'm a Khan fan, the guys skills/speed are immense, But after years of watching boxing, toooooo many times has my heart clouded my judgement.
Also Williamhill.com are offering 6/1 for a Kotelnik KO/TKO/DQ. Place your bets folks.
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full.
One for my master,
One for the dame,
And some to hold onto
when I'm ****ing Daisy again.
Isn't it?
The only downside of Khan getting KO'd again is that it'll mean me having to make a new sig. I've got £10 on Kotelnik.Comment

I dont think we should read too much into Khans recent sparring session . The guy he was sparring was a light middleweight ,taller than Khan ,had a longer reach and most likely hits harder than him or Kotelnik . Plus when he was catching Khan with his jab i dont think some of them would actually of hit him as some were just grazing off his protruding headgear . Khan is taller than Kotelnik and Kotelnik wont hit him with his jab if he keeps the distance he did in the sparring session . Also i dont think he would want to reveal so much of the gameplan he is going to use in the fight in an open sparring session.Comment

I think khan wins this with a comfortable UD even if he does have a weak chin. khan might have a weak chin but I dont' think the prescott fight proved it. the only thing it proved is that khan had lack luster defense and bad judgement because when he got back up from the first kd, he started to brawl with prescott instead of moving and recovering.
khan might get caught again but it would have to be against some like Holt or Pacquiao. Otherwise I don't see anyone landing a flush shot on him any time soon by the looks of his picture perfect performance agaisnt Barrera(even if Barrera is way past it).Last edited by -Swizzy-; 07-16-2009, 03:24 PM.Comment
