If Whitaker would have beaten Chavez or Hoya

Whould that alone made him a boxing icon or draw?

I know a lot of use felt like he won both those fights. But if he was announced the winner, would he not have been so forgotten from people outside of these forums?

All BS aside, I thought he beat Chavez, well outboxed him at least and I thought he lost a narrow dec to DLH.

The only reason I gave that fight to DLH was because he wasn't pushing the fight, he was just potshotting and moving. I know that's what he does but DLH was really just chasing him around the ring more than anything else.

Against Chavez he was really landing nice combos throughout the whole fight and put on a clinic.

Sweet Pea was an amazing boxer, one of the fastest guys you will ever see in the ring.

I don't really think he's forgotten but to answer the question, no I don't think so, he just didn't have the style to be a big draw.
