Is it ironic that two fighters who left everything in the ring, famous for absolute wars... died from completely random events
Just a thought that came to my mind
I don't think "ironic" is the word I would use. Actually if you think about it, they were involved in a violent sport and died in a violent way so I don't think irony plays any part in it.

But their deaths had nothing to do with boxing... they died violent deaths in the outside world, far away from the ring they risked their health fighting the way they did.
uh...not many people die from what they normally do...yeah some boxers die of brain damage and some die in the ring...but how often is that? not every construction worker dies from a steel beam crushing them...
I know it's not strictly IRONIC... but how would you explain two fighters, who were well known for risking their health, in toe to toe wars... dieing completely freak, violent deaths far away from the place they were arguably in most danger.

yeah, i can see where you're coming from...but corrales died from everyday life...motorcycles are dangerous as hell...gatti died from alleged domestic issues...that he was actually known for...so that seems a little less ironic to me...
I would like to rename the thread "Corrales & Gatti, hint of irony?"
But yeah, dangerous sport... dying from things that are unexpected, you get my point.
