Haha.

It's true. Hopkins is a true cherry picker in every sense of the word but you can't deny he is the consummate professional. His underdog DOMINATIONS over Pavlik and Tito show you that.

Credit where it's due - Hopkins is a freakin' legend.

when hes not cherry picking his fighters and forced to fight genuine fighters from his weight class he loses - RJJ, calzghe, taylor etc.

but 20 odd defences and wins over johnson and tarver deserve merit and make him a HOF'er.

eh...no. Not for being a 'consummate professional'. Consummate professionals are people like Miguel Cotto or Manny Pacquiao who don't talk **** and do their jobs in the ring. hopkins may be a good fighter, but that's it.

Calzaghe was actually the smaller man against Hopkins but again credit where it is due, Hopkins was 40 in the Taylor fights and 43 against Calzaghe.

He also DOMINATED the larger Tarver when he moved from MIDDLEWEIGHT.

The fights against Calzaghe and Taylor were very close though and he was quite green in the Jones fight and Jones was just a joke back then, hoping around the ring with speed and power.
