your argument doesn't hold water, why would kess want to go north 7 lbs and miss out on fighting the winner of froch-pascal, miss out on AA moving up and possibly pavlik as well, why would he want to miss out on bute?

It was before Dawson decided to give Tarver a rematch. HBO wanted the fight. Kessler offered a catchweight of 170 and later 172. The catchweight made sense considering the risk/reward for both fighters. The loser could still head home after the fight and make money defending the belt.

Dawson rejected saying he only wanted to fight at 175. Now please explain why he he last month suddenly says he wanted the big fights at 168?
