I fail to see how Vic Darchinyan losing in his Bantamweight debut gives credence to the accomplishments of Pacquiao. Your logic is severely misplaced.
Manny has been able to move up in weight rather easily because he has been growing from a boy into a man. The guy started boxing when he was still a teenager.
I'm not saying Pac isn't a fantastic fighter, he is, and the deserving P4P champ. His career should be seen for what it is though: A young boy of 16 rising through the weight classes as he grows to become a champion at 140. He is now 30 years old and fully grown.
You do realise that Vic himself moved up a division from 112-115 pounds. Was he the same fighter? No, he was a better fighter. There are dozens of examples where a fighter can move up in weight and be more than competitive. Pac is not the only one.
