Don't get personal. I seen chump ass muthaFu@kers beating on women and ITs wrong. She should have left. And if he was beating on her he should have went to jail. How many times have you seen Gatti be a **** to his wife or beat her. NONE. How many times have you seen Gatti give his guts and soul for his fans. Many. He was gracious in the ring and in interviews and thats what I will remember him by. How many times have you seen Gatti's Bit@h give you any good or bad vibes? NOne. Domestic VIolence is Wrong.
I dont condone murder, and I am not saying what Gatti's wife did was right, BUT...

Gatti wasn't "beating" his wife, that's ridiculous. If he was then she would've had black eyes, a broken nose and been bruised up. Married couples get in heated arguments that sometimes gets a little over the top (especially when they're drunk) with insults, pushing and slapping (yes women also slap and scratch men during fights) which is FAR from being "beaten" or abused to the point of justifying or even excusing a homicide...Comment

It would only be justifiable if her life was in danger. There's been lenient sentences handed out to women in the past because they suffered years of torture and had nowhere else to go to because of their financial situation. But that was when a lot of women were not financially independant and were exploited by males because of it.
In a case where there's abuse, but the woman has a choice to leave, it's harder to be as sympathetic. Because there's a choice there, it looks more calculated, even if it's not. Anyone who abuses is a scumbag, but if this was not self defence, it was evil and wrong, regardless of abuse.Comment

My grandmother was in an abusive relationship with my grandfather. She stuck at it for 20 years because she had no confidence to go her own way and was terrified that he would hunt her down anyway.
She often says how one night he was drunk, asleep and she had a hammer in her hand ready to knock him out permanently. She couldn't go through with it and eventually got a divorce the legitimate way. But I could understand if she had actually done it. When you feel useless and helpless, and you see your 'master' in a position of vulnerability, it must be so tempting to get the job done.
Gatti may have entertained in a hellacious way. But, by all acconts, he sounds like an absolute **** out of the ring. It's sad for Gatti, his missus and his kid that it has come to this.Comment

For the record, if he was gracious in the ring, that's nice. But, if I KNEW he beat his wife, I wouldn't give a ****. He'd still be a *****, and I still wouldn't respect him. Once again, not saying he did it. I'm speaking hypothetically.
Do I know he did it or didn't? No. And neither do you.
It's so easy for you to say that she should have just left. Like normal people would have. Well, he should have not beat a woman, like normal people. Things happen. And she felt abused and trapped, if the accusations are accurate. You've never been a woman, and your husbands never beat you, so you don't know what you're talking about. Neither do I, in that sense, but that's what I'd have to assume that feels like.
Don't get personal? ****, life is personal. Someone lays a hand on my sister, they get one right between the eyes. All there is to it.Comment

You can't say that you know he didn't beat her. Just like no one can say they know he did. BUt bruises don't really mean anything. Guys throw oranges at women, because they hurt like hell, but don't leave bruises. Not sayig he did that, but.. I'm not saying he didn't.
Sports fans seem to be so able to believe the person they enjoyed watching just because they're favorites of theirs.
Ridiculous. Athletes do ****ed up ****, and sometimes they get what is coming to them in return. Not saying he beat her, but if he did, to me it's fair game.Comment

Just because he is good in the ring doesn't make up for what he does outside. Tyson is a douche, being able to KO people doesn't make up for that.Comment

Once again, I have a feeling that if he was your step dad and he punched the **** out of your mother, you'd have a different take on whether him being a legend mattered.
Once again, not saying he did it.Comment
