    Juan Diaz

I just watched the recent Diaz vs. Lorcey fight again and was just wondering what people thought of Diaz and where he ranks as a p4p puncher. I also thought that he has outstainding skill for his age and noticed that I havent heard much of him as a fairly new fan. I also thought he had good defense and thought that down the strech as Lorcey wore down he picked a good portion of his punches wisely. So all in all just wanna know what people think of him and if he is on anybodies top 20 p4p list and what they think of his puching power for his size.

He's a very nice fighter right now. He's not a big puncher at all but has an excellent workrate and is pretty smart inside the ring. He needs to improve his D especially against the right hand because it looked like Sim rocked him a few times in their fight. If it were a more devastating puncher than Sim, Diaz would have been in trouble. I think he can be very successful in the future though.

I think he has superstar quality, but he may lack superstar talent. I love the way he surges to take a close round. He's in amazing shape, and he's got the Eye of the Tiger. He's also a college student, which means he has the brains to get the most out of his ability. But when he steps up in class, his lack of power and his relatively pedestrian defensive skills will hold him back.

hasn't fought anyone yet that would eran him atop 20 p4p ranking. He doesn't really have any power he wind by outworking guys.

He's a good kid, he's tough as hell and the networks will always want him because he's an action fighter.

He has come along way from when I first saw him fight back in 2001 on Showtime. I think with more development and experience he will be able to go far. Maybe he could go down to 130 because it looks like he could shed the extra five pounds. As for he punching power I think he has enough to get respect and can really hurt his opponents if they go into the fight thinking he can't hurt them.
