Shane Mosely vs Andre Berto: No Discussions So Far

Contrary to some of the information being reported on several outlets, there have been no discussions between Golden Boy Promotions and DiBella Ent. for a unification bout between WBA champion Shane Mosley and WBC champion Andre Berto. During the last few days, Mosley made it clear that he plans to return by the end of the year and ordered Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer to get him a fight. The names thrown around were Joshua Clottey, Paul Williams, Andre Berto and Kermit Cintron. Among those four, Berto, an unbeaten champion, is the reported frontrunner to land Mosley. [details]

SSM better get this **** done. If he sits out a full yr, he's gonna lose his next fight if he faces anybody credible. He ain't got time to waste.

So you got Paul Williams, Joshua Clottey, Kermit Cintron and Andre Berto
all interested in fighting Shane Mosley. We should be hearing something
soon about his next opponent. I think the smart $ would be to go for
Andre Berto because he has a title and an Undefeated record and if Shane
can pull it off would get him a bigger look, especially if he KO's the young
        hype job Andre Berto.

Shane needs to take Berto's belt, KO Cintron and then fight Mayweather/Williams.

While this seems like an easy win for Shane, Berto's speedy combos and clinching could cause Mosley problems. It's a fight Shane should win, but Berto is young and hungry and wants recognition. This is a good fight to make, hope it comes through!

He should fight Berto instead of waste so much time, he along with Cintron are the most beatable guys on that list and that WBC straps which belonged to Floyd would put him on a better position to demand better fights.
