Neither are hall of famers yet so neither really have great resumes. AA made it very public he was aggressively trying to make a fight with Pavlik, while Pavlik really had no comment on it that I've heard recently. AA is moving up to fight the best at 168lbs, Pavlik is trying to fight the best at 154.

arthur got his Vacated strap b4 Pavlik, yet he fought who since getting it ? At least Pavlik beat the man at mw in Taylor for his title. Taking the straps from the champion of the division. He has fought his rematch, 2 mandatories, and got whooped by an atg. No shame in it. He needs big fights now no question, but the fact is AA has been a belt holder longer, done far less, and has a **** resume so stop acting like the guy is this or that. He never fought Taylor when he was champ, yet was a title holder. He chose to fight Oral instead of his mandatory in a hard hitting Lorenzo. He has been carefully matched with bums, and aside a big punch is nothing special. **** workrate, little boxing skill, and is boring as hell unless he can catch someone and hurt them. He was very unimpressive agains Oral(who?) He showed very bad finishing skills with his ******edly wild shots in that fight. He is wide open when he throws. He will lose to most of the guys in the smw tourney.

I dont like the idea of this fight. He should be trying to fight Williams, Sturm, or AA. I cant beleive Arum wants fights with Mora, Duddy, and now Martinez. Jack Loew, Arum, and Pavlik were talking all that **** about beating Hop. Now it seems the man lost his confidence forever

I know HBO wants the Williams fight. But Arum will have no problem putting Pav on Top Rank PPV WHICH SUCKS FOR US
