I used to host a lot of fight parties. I've had every fighter on and have treated casual and even non-fans to many ppv's and great fights.

The times I truly remember non-fans being interested in the fights, were the Gatti-Ward fights.

I've never seen people that don't know **** about boxing, transfixed by the absolute effort those guys gave being a inch from losing and fighting their hearts out.

I mean girls who would rather chat all night, would sit there mouths open, just stunned by what they were seeing.

I've seen guys who would rather talk about golf or baseball, just drop silent and look intently.

That was the power of Arturo Gatti.

                May he rest in peace.

Arturo was one of the most exciting fighters I have ever seen, and he gave it all he had every single time out. The man was a blood and guts fighter who was all heart and will. God bless Arturo Gatti. RIP...sad to know I will never get to hear "Thunderstruck" and see his ring walk ever again. That always got me amped.

I'm ripped apart with this death.

He was my all time favorite fighter.

All I acn say Arturo will always live for us when we press play on the tapes with Patterson,Rodriguez,Ruelas,Ward and all the rest.
