eastman is not a b-fighter, hopkins will beat him but eastman is a good boxer. The only problem with eastman is that he is boring. he only ever does enough and dosnt make his fights as exciting as they could be. This would stop him earning a lot of money even if he was to beat hopkins

Trinidad's been looking good lately but against MUCH LESS SKILLED guys than Hops
I seem to remember that appearance on TNF myself. I agree that he'd have a hard time making super middle after all this time at 175..that would be tough!
Oh, youre right about that too...B-Hop is much, much more talented than Mayorga..hell, my kid is more talented than him!! I would like to think that the 'grudge' of having lost to him before would help fuel titos fire enough to get the job done?? You never know..and with all the hard to believe upsets lately I've come to believe that anything is possible!!

the loss might put a little more fire in Tito's belly, but Hops is one the best boxer - punchers out there, he's really gonna have to get old overnight for Trinidad to beat him. Tito doesn't deal with movers well, cause he can't set down enough to put the power in his left hand, all Hops has to do is show him some angles and be a mover, then use his superior skills, it'll probably be similar to the first fight. i like Trinidad, but i just don't see him beating Hops

bernard said in that article that he wanted to make history by taking lightheavy weight belt from johnson so there's something historical involved. i know he goes down in history for 20 belt wins after he takes apart eastman. man you tito fan atics. i really like tito but you can't be serious with him lasting against hopkins. tito beat a palooka in mayorga.so don't use that as a measuring stick for fighting an art of boxing type like hopkins.
it makes perfect sense to me for him to go after johnsons belt instead of fight with tito. he's interested in his legacy not money. he's set up for life financialy. he doesnt think that much of tito and for good reasons.it would be an easy big money fight for hopkins. that lightheavyweight belt will make him the best ever. then he should retire for a couple years then come back and still be able to beat tito for another belt.

I agree stealhead. Tito was made Hopkins ***** the night they fought. Tito didn`t win a round and pulled off a disgraceful performance. Hopkins owned him, he beat him up. Tito became Hopkins little *****. The only reason Hopkins would not fight tito is because the prospect of teaching the ***** another lesson bores him, and the fight was a bit boring watching it at times. Very uncompetitive at times. Tito ouldn`t hit the guy. Awful performance. No wonder Tito retired, the shaise to me of being owned by Nard, teh shame of being out classed, teh shame of being knocked out, the shame of not having any excuses, the shame of claiming to be able to win, in fact, claiming pound for pound honors then getting hammered. Tito is shameful. he should apoligise to nard for not following up his big predictions, Tito is all talk!

LOL!! That Puerto Rican was running his mouth before the fight bigtime..Not only did BHop rip him apart in the ring he threw the PR flag on the ground.. That was funny.. I was in MSG for the fight.. I was surrounded by Puerto Ricans all over the place.. Ive never seen such classlessness and sore losing amongst a group of people.. As Tito was getting beaten and their frustration grew a bunch of Puerto Ricans in my section were yelling out "Tito get that N***** (the N Word)!!! It was a truly disgusting display of sportmanship from Tito's nuthugger fans!!

I'd rather see him fight Jermain Taylor...I don't wanna see a another fight with Tito because he will just dominate Tito again this time KO him even faster...I dont wanna see him fight Sturm, Sturm can't hit. I don't wanna see him fight Johnson...again. BRING ON JERMAIN TAYLOR.

Yep, Taylor would be a great matchup, but he's still young and a bit inexperienced to take on Hopkins right now. It'd be a good fight, but I'd pick Hopkins in 6 or 8. If Taylor has a good manager and promotor, this fight won't ever happen. By the time Taylor is seasoned enough to take Hopkins on, Bernard will be far past his prime, if not retired. Taylor shows great promise, but he still depends a bit too much on his reflexes and natural ability (much like Roy Jones did). An upset could happen if the two meet, but Hopkins is prime right now, and I think he'd be too smart for Taylor to beat.

Okay, okay..I gave it some thought and I have to agree Tito is powerful and skilled, but DLH, who is also considered a good boxer lost to Nard with a shot to the body..so, having considered that I have to say I may be wrong (see, I CAN do that!! ). If Felix could catch him with the right punch then who knows..but he's slick and hard to hit anyway. If Oscar had trouble with him then I can see Felix having a hard time too..although styles do make fights, and Tito and DLH have totally different styles

If Hopkins gets by Eastman and Johnson gets by Tarver in their rematch, I think B-hop should move up to 175 and take on Johnson. He could add Light Heavyweight champion to his resume,he already be Trinidad.
