As for potential goes nobody know how big his potiental enless he tries to.

Yes sometimes in one stage you will stop growing but that doesnt mean you wont grow. If you want some dramatic growing you have to see something much different approach.

as far as the fight goes it true what you said about Manny vs Floyd it would probably be the gameplan because both of this fighters are known to come into the fight 100% fitness.

but also it never too late to learn something new.
There are too many factors involve I believe, you are what you are, you should always train hard regardless.

        A combo of both.

        There's always exceptions.

Wilfred Benitez was notoriously lazy in training. I'm sure he still put in hard work, but lazy compared to most world class fighters. He still became a great.

Or someone like Carlos Monzon. Now I guess you can say he may have had a born talent for BOXING, although not the typical athletic gifts like speed. If someone lacks certain athletic gifts but just has a knack for being able to develop boxing skills faster than most people, you can say that's talent too. Monzon may have put in hard work in training but again, compared to others, his reputation in training was not good.

And that is 3 years of training Floyd Jr had under Sr...

I think it is a mix of many things. One thing for sure, you need to train extremely hard to build your foundation and it helps a lot to have a great mentor/teacher/guide/team.

Even Tyson said he was very fortunate to have someone like Cus.

We saw what happened to Tyson once he left the Catskill training behind him and even though he had years of such precise training, it faded away.

But no matter what, I still feel you need the genetics to rise to a certain position in athletics. So the genetics are a given and the rest you have to work hard for to make your genetics valuable and peak.

I think people need to take advantage of the skills and talents they are blessed with.

              Oh dear.

It's just goes to show how much practice he had - decades of sweat blood and gut-wrenching hard work.
