I remember watching that fight in which he announced he was leaving, he said something about wanting to spend time with his grand kids and buying an RV, he seemed pretty intent on leaving for good. But i think it was implied he was leaving to develop a super dupper XXL foreman grill.

but i dont miss foreman, i guess he made me laugh too, but laughing at him was a little distracting, and Rjj seems to me like he knows what hes talking about, and there always jim lampley to keep things refreshing. Now when HE retires, mayweather fights get that much less exciting.

I preferred Gil Clancy, but he is probably too senile now. As far as Gorge and "Third person" Jones goes, I prefer Foreman. but they seem to be equally annoying. George made me laugh more, so thats why I would prefer him

I would like to see how Sean O' Grady could do with that job. I thought he was damn good on USA TNF's.

Another one I was impressed with was Chris Byrd. Much better than Jones. More intelligent (not hard, that one...my lab is smarter), far more understandable than Jones (again...so is my lab), and pretty funny sometimes too. I'm not a fan of his boxing, but I'd far rather see him as 3rd man than Jones.

Tuesday night fights was the last of the TV Boxing shows. Always had good fights on with name fighters. Damn do I miss that show. Every week I looked forward to that.

I also thought Byrd did well. He has a job after his boxing career is over. Hopefully for us Boxing fans, he will be starting his new career soon

True, it's all we have. And what happened to Tuesday Night Fights, by the way? They were just suddenly gone, and I found myself with no reason to drink during the week, and completely without warning.

Am I the only person who thinks that a "Boxing Channel" would go over big worldwide? There is no reason at all that we shouldn't be able to watch boxing from around the world, almost 24 hours a day. Jesus Christ, NASA has a 24 hour broadcast on DirecTV...why don't we have a boxing station?
