Giovanni Lorenzo will fight Sebastian Sylvester for the IBF middleweight title

Giovanni Lorenzo will face Sebastian Sylvester for the IBF middleweight title on Sep 19 in Germany.

The title is being vacated by Arthur Abraham, who is moving up to super middleweight and will fight Jermain Taylor on Oct 10.

On the same Sauerland card on that date, Matt Skelton will fight Francesco Pianeta for the European Union (EBU) heavyweight title.

Should be a pretty good fight Lorenzo is a pretty good fighter, and Sylvester is pretty good. Lorenzo can punch hard so if he can put good leather on Sylvester I think he should be able to hurt him and take him out.

Yes it should be an entertaining, competitive fight.

Both are good fighters with a lot of determination but neither is quite world-class.

Lorenzo is lucky AA vacated his belt cuase he would have got kTFO if he challenged him. I bet Pavlik would unify with the winner now. He didnt want AA.

Lara and McEwan are at 154, other than that, the future looks bright. I'd love to see a future matchup of Jacobs and Golovkin

Both Lara and McEwen will likely move up to 160, but I think Korobov and Jacobs may move up to 168.

Dmitry Pirog is relatively unknown in the US, but he's very good from what I've seen. He's better than the two guys (Spada and Zbik) fighting today for the interim WBC title.

Lorenzo gets schooled by a faded Raul Marquez who got beaten down by AA, and Sylvester got beaten easily by Sturm not too long ago and now they are fighting for a championship.

                    Sheesh.
