I watched the fight the other day Calzaghe vs Kessler 7-8rounds before i had to go out and in all honestly i dunno how he lost that fight. I remeber at the time i thought Cal won and came on strongly after a good opening from kessler. Anyone got the judges scores from the fight?

I'm just pointing out that Ward is feather fisted and is nothing special. I wasn't impressed by his performance against a shot chinny punching bag. Ward also has a suspect chin, he has been dropped and hurt by bums. He's not on Abraham or Pavlik's level yet. Kessler is a better fighter than Abraham and Pavlik IMO. This is a HUGE step up for Ward, he's gonna get KTFO by Kessler.

He practically shut out Miranda who is probably a little more comfortable at 168. I don't really care if he didn't KO him, that's not the only way you win in the sport. He also absorbed Miranda's punches (who's a big puncher) just fine. Let's not forget that Kessler was hurt by a Calzaghe bodyshot.

I'm not saying Ward will win but I imagine it will be a close fight.

Lateral movement will be the key in this fight and Ward knows this. No reason to stand in front of Kessler, thats his only hope to win. All the way in or all the way out, just like against Miranda.
