An extract from an interview in the Danish media:
"The choice of one of the world's biggest boxing promoters Team Sauerland, to carry Mikkel Kesslers sporting interests was the natural result of prolonged disputes with Mogens Palle.
Kessler wants to fight, but he was not given good opportunities by the Danish Hall of Fame promoter. But he would rather not talk about Mogens Palle.
- Now I can finally look ahead, notes Kessler to ekstrabladet.dk.
- For me it's about getting out there and box. Like three or four fights a year.
- But Mogens Palle could not provide me the matches. He kept saying that there may be a fight, but alas there never was. Now there is an end to the foolishness. I just want to be told where and who to box. The biggest fights. In this respect, Sauerland is much more professional, "says Kessler.
WBA-champ would not comment on Mogens Palles often repeated words of being the man who created Mikkel Kessler.
- I'm not going to miss him. I am certainly not. He is just trying to ridicule me and then I can say bad stuff about him and then it can keep on going like that for years. I do not care to be involved in something like that!
- I will tell about the whole situation with Mogens Palle another day, Kessler said.
He can probably within just a few months get his desire to see a boxing ring inside again fulfilled. Sauerland is working hard to arrange the mandatory title defence against Venezuela contender Gusmyl Perdomo, so it can be cleared away in order for us to look ahead to the real fights."
Sorry for the poor english, but I did not have the time to rewrite the article, so I just googled it and corrected the most obvious errors. Bad journalist + bad translation equals bad article I agree, but at least you now have the interview.
