If the fights at 145...il have even more respect for taking on a bigger fighter, thats closer to 147, then it is to 140...which i suppose is pacs "new" best weight....the fight isnt even done yet, and even if he did get cotto at 143-144, why not? hes the smaller guy

I still have a ton of respect for Pacquiao.

I'm a Cotto fan but i feel its only fair he makes Cotto come down a couple of pounds. I am surprised he isn't making come down more really considering Cotto made 146 against Clottey.

The thing is Pacquiao is a guy who can still make 135 if he wanted, where Cotto is a welterweight who grows up to around 160 on fight night.

Two pounds off the 147lb limit is fair imo being that Pacquiao has to come up around 5-10 pounds.

from what i've read it seems cotto and mosley are the ones coming after manny... manny's made his conidtions on which he will fight them, if they dont wanna meet those conditions, go fight someone else... i dont blame manny at all cuase it doesnt seem to me that he's the one pursuing them... to me he's in the driver seat and can fight whoever....

Cotto said, no lower than 145 and something in the neighborhood of 65-35 and you have a fight.

it is a big deal. cotto has grown into a big WW these last couple of years, i think he will struggle alot to make the weight at this point. and we have seen before how badly he performs fighting drained. ive foguth drained myself in the ams, couldnt even imagine having to do it for a 12 round fight. at this level its a huge deal. and even if this catchweight was fair, catchweights are still BS in general.

i agree. manny's in the power position, i don't see anything wrong with trying ti get every advantage he can....

but personally, i don't think it's necessarily manny dragging all this out....i agree, roach and manny's team are the one insisting the fight get as low as they can get it....
